Typically, I drive a bit faster than others, but I always try my best to shift out of the way if someone is driving faster than me. I also use my turn signals, which the bulk of the population has forgotten how to do.

That's also why I distinguised about in traffic. I don't do that. But, if I've got the motorcycle on a freshly paved, deserted stretch of highway...

IMHO, I feel that lack of turn signals are more dangerous than speeding, for exactly the reason you mentioned.

Also, if there is constant traffic, I do agree with you about staying in the left lane. You should drive the eastern half of I90 in NY sometime. None of the New Yorkers stayed in the right lane. The folks from Michigan and I were the only using the right lane. And we were the ones going faster. Irritating.
