MLA and other specs for citing electronic sources by z1root 2006-11-19 12:55:59
There is a section titled "Basic Forms for Electronic Sources" in the "Using Modern Language Association (MLA) Format" hand-out listed in the "Research and Documenting Sources" section of the On-line Writing Lab at Purdue University. There is also a hand-out titled Resources for Documenting Electronic Sources" (in any format) and a few handouts covering APA style, but in my experience APA is usually used by science and psychology instructors while MLA is used by English (or language skills) and Arts instructors so MLA is probably most appropriate for a movie review. Actually, their APA coverage is pretty good, though, because my previous experience (a year or so ago) was that trying to find APA specs on line was like trying to get a view of Windows source code, everywhere I looked either gave little summaries of small portions or offered to sell the compiled work (i.e. the whole book). MLA was a lot more open and simple in the materials I found at the time.
