Which one may inspire EU teens more? by scissors 2004-10-22 07:55:01
And I'm talking "EU continental" here. These boys know football (soccer), they know baseball from movies and/or TV.
Some of them tried to put up a game of baseball last summer (camp place having a large lawn) but ... they don't have "original" equipment for either.
So they "batted" with a softball rocket, had "bases" indicated by a pullover (it was warm enough, nomoms around to comlain) and the "goal" ... they DID bring a large "glove" though, and a ball slightly bigger than tennis.

But my question is more: is baseball "easier to understand" than cricket, or is it more "show of strength" or something like that? Otherwise I 'll go and try study the rules of Cricket. I don't want tohave two "like" games in my head, and mix them up.
