...of a quite amusing scene during the live roleplaying game I attended last weekend. The setting was victorian England in 1881, and the players' characters had been invited to a hunt by a nobleman. (I played a correspondent for the "Weekly Review" from London, who was there to write an article about this social event.)
Well, pretty soon the trouble started, when one guest was murdered and a bomb was placed in the house by - yet - unknown evil-doers. And when at one point I went to my room, I discovered a poisonous snake that someone had deposited there. (There was a rather big rubber snake lying in the middle of the room when I turned on the light.) I left the room rather in a hurry, as you can imagine. But what did I do then?
Well, true to my character's being an stoic british gentleman, I walked down the stairs to the reception area, rang the bell at the desk and calmly said to the appearing house servant something like: "There is a snake in my room. Please see that it is removed, my good man."
We had a good laugh about it later when we were reminiscating about it. ^_^ |
