ALICE is clever technology, no doubt about that...a far cry from Eliza. I've downloaded a couple of chatterbots onto my computer and "talked" with them -- the one I have on my machine now is called UltraHal. Hal can give a definition of the words "God" and "religion" and "Christian", but doesn't identify itself as being a member of any religion. If I ask questions about it, he gives answers which have little if anything to do with the question.
