to a song are. I've heard all sorts of manglings of perfectly good lyrics. That doesn't make the actual song any less powerful for those who actually know the words. Who knows, maybe the words, or the sentiment behind them, work their way into the psyches of those who listen whether they realize it on a conscious level or not.
