that IIS isn't a prerequisite if you're installing on XP Home and it's only needed if you wish to create and test web applications under the .NET framework. I've got absolutely no intention of doing that but there's no way of telling the installer "No thanks, I'm not writing web apps". I'm now installing it on my XP Home laptop instead...
