even if they are doing something just to please me. It might be that they get to see me smile and feel happy about that. That way they get something fulfilled themselves. I for instance opened the door for a guy carrying a lot of things, on my way to a meeting just an hour ago. The only reason people could possibly see was that I was being nice. It was the only reason, but it also made me feel happy. He might have found it very nice that I did this, so he remember that this was the case. He will then if he sees one in the same situation open the door for him. I might eventually need somebody to open the door for me, and because I was nice towards this guy today it spread like a dominoeffect so a person actually opens the door for me.
On top of this it made me feel good that I helped out one of the people making my food everyday. It does feel good to be nice and I am therefore rewarded that way.
