question for fellow techies... by scragman 2004-10-21 06:27:09
I think I have a unique one for ya:

I have a computer, that when sent an email message from a specific user with an attachemnt, will recieve the email with no notification of there being an attachment. Now then, the email will still have the correct size for still containing the attached item (a .jpg file in this case). In addition to that oddity, you can (this is outlook 2002, by the way) click file->save attachemnt, and you can save the attachment to the computer.

The original sender didn't have any problems with anyone else that the file was sent to. When sent from anyone else to the user with the problem, the email arrives as it should, with a little paper clip denoting an attachment.

What I don't get is this: If everyone else is getting it, it must be a problem on the recievers end. But then, if the reciever can get attachments from everyone else, it must be a problem with the sender. This is a little frustrating.

What I've done so far: reinstalled outlook, updated to SP2 (SP3 has been giving us problems with attachments, so we have been avoiding it).

If anyone has any ideas, please help me.
