We just had this old lady at my school, who had been in Auswitch. It was a truly amazing story, not just about the horrors in the camp, but also about the time leading up to her capture, and the time after their liberation by the russians. How they had fought to get back to France, and not be left behind soviet lines. Imaging this sweet old lady, she would remind anybody of their granny, with a 74853 tatooed on her left forearm, telling you all this. I think some at the back weept for a moment.
Anyway I've been singing the chorus for redemtion song all week, and after this it's my theme of the day. |
