To be able to _modify_ other submissions, with no idea what directory structure, etc etc the files will be in ahead of time, and no idea what the submissions would look like. _Deleting_ other submissions would be much easier ;) Either way, it'd be detected when they read the source. Anyway, anyone with that much time should be writing for the tug competition instead. ;)
