encountered this issue with accounts that we've manually disabled. I'm not saying it's the programmer's fault initially, but when I point it out to him, it should be his job to research the code, not mine.

And I asked for one of two things. Either discover what the issue is, and recode to avoid it, or recode to automatically apply the fix when an account is disabled. He hasn't done either.
