This is a known issue with Exchange 2000. When you disable an account, it removes the msExchMasterAccountSID.
There are several ways to fix this, one is the link mentioned above. My solution is either delete the account completely, including the mailbox, or instead of disabling the account, either expire the password and not grant the user permission to change it, or just change it to a password known only to me.
If you will look at the bottom of the page you linked, you will see that it states:

If I may ask, why are you using a third party application to do this? I know you can set accounts to expire in AD at a certain time. |
