but this little piece of crap 15" hp monitor is about 2dB louder than that, and slightly but not a whole lot lower in pitch. Still not hearable by my coworker in his 50s, but audible over the hard drives of 3 computers in this area. the monitor is off. the desk gets a solid thumping when the fan on it starts mooing. I'm still going insane, but that's for completely different reasons >:)
