Canadian/Australian/English universities? by oot2004-09-24 09:47:08

Welcome to student life and dealing with boneheaded University policies - the fun part is it doesn't get better. That said, are the required courses material you already know? If you feel confident that you can obtain a passing grade in the course apply for credit in it. There are typically ways around courses, one of which is course credit by examination. Basically you take one big exam to prove you know the material and that's your grade. It's easier than sitting for a semester bored stiff.

Now as for studying elsewhere, make sure the credits will transfer. You do not want to pay the extra cash for airfare, foreign tuition & lodging only to find you've wasted that money and still have to take the courses. Also remember you're going to need a student visa to attend any foreign school, so you'll have to deal with immigration stuffs.

As for Guelph, I don't think it qualifies as interesting, the only thing I can think of in Guelph is The Manor and ummm well let's just forget about that place. The university there is top notch for vet stuff, but since you're just doing the requirements thing - that isn't going to mean much to you. Pretty much anything in Ontario is pointless for you, the land and the climate are all the same as what you've got in Michigan (the fact that the two run along side each other might have something to do with that heh). Your "Canadian alternatives" should be over in B.C., let's just forget subjecting you the maritimes. ;)
