...echoes my original post. Its not "free" so I can't produce a link, but it is as close as one can get to an official authority of such things. You can verify it yourself if you happen to have a copy, or visit your library if you care enough.
Nevertheless, it *is* a general rule. Thats not to say, however, that it isn't set in stone. As I earlier said, hyphens are a tricky beast, and only the most anal of all copy editors is going to breathe down your neck for that hyphen. |
