and I should have been more clear.

What I meant by that is many of the insurgents are Hussein supporters. Hussein was a dictator and the Iraqi people had little freedom. Many of the insurgents want it the way that it was, control over the people. For the most part the insurgents are zealots and would just as soon kill you and me as look at us because of our beliefs and our freedom.

They may not want to cause harm or have anything to do with the people of Ireland, Chile, Argentina or wherever, but they probably hold a certain disdain for their beliefs and do not want that kind of freedom in place in their country.

I do not doubt that other insurgents feel that we are botching the situation and just want us to leave, however that kind of tunnel-vision is deadly.

Does that mean we just leave them to their devices and let them figure it out? That is a scary thought.
