That what the people of Iraq had before under a rutheless dictator was any type of freedom. I don't think that Iraq was much like Dubai while Husien was in power.

I would hope for them to be able to set up their country after being liberated as they see fit, not just accepting our Western democracy.

Unless I am mistaken that is the plan. We aren't following that plan very well and mistakes have been made, but the UN has stepped in with diplomat's to help the situation, it takes alot of time and effort and lets hope things improve. I don't see Dubai or any other form of government stepping up here, should we just have allowed it to continue the way it was? The majority vote in congress didn't think so and neither did I.

And for what it's worth I don't think I have it all that bad here in the U.S. I am proud of my country and what it stands for. I am proud of my heritage. Is that such a bad thing? I don't think so.
