Democracies aren't set up for the individual voter. In your case, you don't vote directly for the president in the sense that "most votes win". There is an electoral college system in place to "help" democracy along. shrug 'sides, more people voted against OUR current government than FOR them as well. Its one of those nasty little things democracy hides under its skin.
