cross-platform networking question: by cybergeek 2004-09-24 07:24:29
so, here's the situation. i have 2 computers running win2k pro, one eMac running OSX, and one oooooooooold mac running OS8.6.

the oooooold mac is the only computer that is connected to the laser printer, due to the fact that it isn't ethernetable.

i want to make it so that i can transfer a document from either win2k box onto the eMac (or the other mac) without having to log on first.

is this possible? can it be done? why do i have to do this instead of just telling my sister to email the damned file to herself? (answer: because my dad's a dink.)

i'm not even sure where to look, really, which is why this is my first stop.

thankee!
