because I'm German as well. To my mind, it's ambiguous, prestige on the one side, ( saw the Italian reaction? ), responsibility on the other side. The one that worries me is India. They are a nuclear power, and they are at war, with Pakistan, also a nuclear power. I think this is not a base, because they show that they are unable to handle conflicts on the diplomatic level.
