Technically, the US did not sign any of the agreements except the first, where it was the 32d nation to do so; however, the Senate ratified all of them except the 1977 update, which is just as good as signing. I was not aware of that!
Either way, I don't think anyone who has been captured has been held in violation of the Geneva Conventions, with the exception of the Abu Ghraid issues, because it's not OK to humiliate POWs (and we all know that from those training classes they make us sit through in Basic Training).
What is really annoying is when you have to hold a U.S. Citizen because they have protections afforded by that pesky Constitution (read that as being written glibly and not literally). There is a lot more freedom to interrogate, etc., POWs than citizens.
