but I will anyway. You pointed out why I have a problem with their use of the word gender to talk about people who have sex changes. The registrants changed their sex (biological appearance - probably to match their gender identity) and want that recognized. That's cool. But it's sex they've changed, not gender. Granted, society defines gender but that can't be legislated - well, at least not as they seem to mean. And sex also refers to sexual intercourse; however, it also describes biological differences, as well as biological actions. :) So sayeth my women's and gender studies experience at uni. :)
