I really didn't offer an opinion one way or the other. I have no problem spending 400 million on body armor. Bush seems to since he didn't spend it before the war.

Don't you think that tying protective gear for the military to a bill that gives Iraq 20 billion for reconstruction is a s4ty thing? Why couldn't the armor be it's own bill? My thought is that having the armor in the bill made it harder for congress to say no to giving away 20 billion.
