I was confused about the key, because I had beed to the cave before, and could go all the way into the chamber -- without needing a key (this was before having the quest in my "to do" list). So, my second visit to the cave, during the quest, it never occurred to me that I would need a key then.
As for killing the fairy-thing, I had forgotten you could force an attack on a non-hostile critter. I will have to do that. \^o^/ |
