Does this place ever reach a general consensus on anything? If you add an alternative interpretation to anything there isn't is likely to just end up being edited out in a couple of days anyway?

It's only like fixing Open Source software in that everyone can have a go at it. Sofware has this magic property of being testably correct though, unlike a collaborative encyclopedia.
