Looking for a light, secure, general purpose by hadji2004-09-22 13:05:45

General purpose scripting. by hadji 2004-09-22 13:25:55
Not web scripting.

For example, we're having a recurring issue with Exchange mailboxes right now. I have not yet found the root cause, but I have found the temporary fix.

I have one batch file to do a filtered LDIF export from Active Directory and one batch file to do an LDIF import of those same records. Between the export and the import, changes have to be made to each entry in the LDIF file. The changes are standard, so they would be simple to automate.

I'd like to set up a script that will run the LDIF batch file, manipulate the output file as needed, rewrite it to an import fle, and run the import batch file to fix the broken AD records.

That is my most immediate reason for this question.
