George Rogers Clark died destitute, after funding troops out of his own pocket, during the American Revolu-
tion, wiped him out. He never recovered, financially; and what help the grubberment did offer was too little.
Grubberments nearly always promise to take care of those who put themselves in harm's way, for them; and
rarely follow through to even majority, let alone univeral, satisfaction of those so placed at risk. The US is
hardly the first place this has happened, and, sadly, likely won't be the last.
