In my experience you get a far better ride in anything other than a Boeing. The A330 is by far the smoothest ride I've ever had with a cabin noise level at least 10Db lower than a 767. On long-haul that makes one heck of a difference to your state of mind at the end.

Oh, and I've not flown in a single 737 that didn't Dutch roll (fishtailing yaw motion with roll component) all the way. Too much of that will get you airsick very quickly. Then of course there's the 737's mysterious rudder actuator problem which pushes the rudder full throw without any pilot or autopilot input. I think they might have fixed that by now but it's known to be responsible for at least two downed airliners.

Your mileage, of course, may vary.
