yardstick. My argument is that Kerry would be no worse for the military and veterans than Bush. At least Kerry has a voting record several decades long whereas Bush has a line of empty alcohol bottles several decades long. The president does have something to do with cutting funding for VA hospitals and benefits. Kerry might have to make a lot of cuts, because of the gargantuan deficits Bush has foisted upon us, but at least he would be honest about it unlike Bush who claims to support programs but cuts funding out from under them the first chance he gets.
