| OK, I am a disabled veteran who was discharged in 1997 when George Bush was not the president. There is absolutely nothing different from what this guy says and what happened to any of us who were medically discharged then or any other time in the history of the United States. The president has nothing to do with the Medical Review Board. For what it's worth, I had four different disabling conditions and got 10% from the government. I did what every other veteran in the history of being a disabled veteran in this country did and applied for disability with the Department of Veterans Affairs and got 40% and I get my pension every month. Case closed. I mean, really, I can respect your opinion, even if it differs from mine, but when you have absolutely nothing to back it except shrill name-calling, it's really quite ridiculous. I got out because the Clinton regime was destroying the military and making my continued military service extremely distasteful. I just happened to get lucky and start having seizures so I could get out from under the Clintons sooner. Many of the operators (i.e. highly trained specialists) I knew from that period who exited when I did are back in now that there is a friendly administration in the White House. I would consider returning, except for the conditions under which I exited. Just my opinion, and that of a number of veterans, even if you consider us as "deluded as Michael Jackson." BTW, if your argument is that Kerry would be better for the military, take a look at his senate voting record. Judging by his record on voting for military programs, he would have our service members out there dressed in loincloths and wielding spears. |
