I may not like Kerry any better, but I don't like Dubya--especially his asinine notions of what constitutes a "war"--any
more than you do. The final p4-off point, AFAIAC, was the knee-jerk power-grab, following 9/11, and the subsequent
return to criminal neglect of economic issues that had already been a problem even before[1] the Y2k elections.

[1] I saw it heading well into the tank by August 2000, never mind Greenspan's fears of an overheating economy, and
rosy pictures painted by other, so-called "experts", who apparently don't have to *work* for a living, and therefore
never consisered that jobs might evaporate into thin air. Of course, the recognition that my colleagues and I were
training our potential, overseas replacements (who have since failed, miserably) couldn't possibly have been a hint,
could it?
