No lack of problems lately.
I have two users who can't print. Every time they log in, they lose permissions to print. The printers are shared on the SBS server, and all users have permission to print.
When they go to Add New Printer and try to find one in the Active Directory, it comes up empty. If I have them browse to \\SBS, they get a login box with the username prepopulated as "SBS\username" (username being their user name). If I have them change that to "DOMAIN\username" and enter their password, it's not accepted. If I log in with *my* domain username, it lets me see all the shares on the SBS, including the printers, which I can then connect to for them and they can print. Until the next reboot.
They are set up as domain users, their computers are in the Active Directory, as are their user names, and they have no problems logging in in the morning. Only these two users have this problem. I was able to get around it for one user by connecting them directly to the printer instead of through the share on SBS, but I'd like to avoid making that a practice.
What the heck is going on here? |
