When you sign up, you choose a list of movies you would like to rent. Then as the movies become available the company will mail them to you. Usually it's about a week depending on where the warehouse is and how they mail it.

If the DVD is damaged or unwatchable you return it with a note and they will usually send you a new one. The amount of DVD's you get, 2 3, 4 or more at a time (depending on how much the monthly fee is), is how many you can have at one time. Lets say you have 3 at home and mail 2 back, the company will then mail you the next 2 that are on your list. You have an unlimited amount of DVD's a month, just how many you get is dependant on how fast you return them.
