Sure, you might be able to control a bike at 100+ on a main road, but if you're travelling 30 mph faster than the other traffic you're still unsafe. Safely completing your journey isn't just about you not hitting anyone else, everyone else has to not hit you too. You make their job considerably harder by speeding as you give them less time to react to your presence. I promise you that you will stop riding excessively fast by the age of 30. Either you'll have had a couple of near-death experiences too many, or had kids who you want to see grow up, or it'll be too late. It's just not worth it.
