First, it's not part of SI. Your link says so. Second, the real problem is: nobody uses it. I've only once seen that "unit" in actual everyday use, and that was in Partimage, hardly a popular tool. And I've yet to encounter a computer science paper that uses it. So for all practical purposes ~~and by the power vested in me by~~_{oh, wait, scratch that part} I hereby declare Mebis, Kibis and all their brothers and sisters dead.
