that we need a handy term for big numbers in the binary system. I don't necessarily disagree that they should be disambiguated from the decimal system, but talk about teaching old dogs new tricks ;)

Btw. there was this abomination of a naming convention that used an additional i for the b_i_nary measure. So 1MiB=1024kiB, whereas 1MB=1000kB. But I haven't seen that for a long time now.
