the easiest way to configure screens and graphics cards in Mandrake (or at least I found it the easiest when I still used Mandrake) is to open a command line, type 'init 3' to bring you to runlevel 3, log in, su, type 'XFdrake' which brings up a simple graphical configuration tool.
