Question of the Day! by kickstart2006-11-19 12:26:49
Hitting Polticians with cream pies (n/t) by Hieraco2004-09-22 00:00:51
    I don't agree by scissors 2004-09-22 02:42:48
It's such a waste of good things: the cream, the pie itself, the work of the chef who made it ...
And it would be throwing pearls before sw** anyhow: anyone who doesn't agree with a politician can SAY so, can vote too. But throwing food is plain decadency.
Imho "throwing food" should NEVER be "legalized". (I know: this looks like I lived through famine or something. I never did experience a real lack of food, but THROWING food is just wasting it. And throwing it to politicians is wasting it twice: it gives them more attention than they deserve.

Do you remember what happened when a pie-thrower hit BillyM$Gates? Yes, Gates got the headlines twice that day. First one was "Gates visits Brussels", second time was "During ... visit ... a pie-thrower got him"
So now it was NOT "Gates" who looked silly, he was "the victim" of two things: a pie-throwing FANATIC, and ... "failing police forces"

If he had been a politician in the "normal" sense - one who needs media attention to get re-elected - he would have BENEFITED from the counter-action.
