Sure sign you've been playing frisbee well. :-D
Apple IIGS- not really sure. I've never been an Apple person, but the apartment that I rented last summer had this machine, complete with all manuals, printer, extra printer cables, boxes of games, extra floppy disks, etc... just sitting in the closet! The landlord said he didn't know where it had come from and I could do whatever I wanted with it- keep it or pitch it. So, naturally, I kept it. *grin*
I never took all my boxes to school- space considerations were an issue. Though I did get a KVM switch and had a couple of the newer boxes set up.
Assembly isn't too difficult- I don't really have any great words of wisdom, sorry. Mostly you just need to understand what each of the commands really *does* and keep them straight- there aren't that many commands. I think the biggest newbie mistake is to mix up CALL and JP - (call calls a subroutine and then has to return, jump is more or less a GOTO. People who try to return without being in a subroutine end up with problems...) A lot of what you'll be learning has parallels with higher level languages, you'll likely do fine. If you get stuck and need help, you can email me - email is my ufie nic at hot mail dot com , be sure to put something interesting in the subject line so it doesn't get deleted as spam. "Ufie needs help with Assembly" perhaps. :-P
Well, w*rk is almost over...
Thanks for the game.
