I was referring to the top level post above, where you were talking about televised debates on gay marriage. I think it is reasonable to say that at least some of your more violent frustration with the conservative opinion came from your personal views on the subject, and not wholly from his failure to adhere to the strictest guidelines of organized debate.

The famous quote by F Scott Fitzgerald is very apt in this case, although on such divisive issues it perhaps aims a little high. But strangling someone because they won't be swayed to your way of thinking by your reasoning just isn't nice :)
