At least for doing inventory. I am of course assuming you have more than 150 items in stock. Also make sure you get one with audible confirmation of a valid scan, otherwise you can get multiple reads which will throw your inventory off. A wireless scanner, or a handheld computer/scanner which is programmable and can hold several thousand barcodes is probably much better for inventory.
