  I recall reading certain amendments by hadji 2004-07-14 12:29:41
with explicit language that they supercede, invalidate, or override previous amendments.*

Without this explicit language, I believe that any question of the validity of one amendment versus another would depend on how the courts would interperet the original intent of each amendment. Even if the language appears contradictory, the intent or spirit of the amendments can sometimes be reconciled.*

Failing that, I believe it would fall to which amendment is closest to the intent of the constitution itself.*
