Though DR has actually changed his position, upon realizing that they aren't just trying to define marriage, but actually deny rights by prohibiting civil unions. So you are now the only one looking at things from whichever perspective you claim I can't see. ;-) Like I said, I find your point interesting. I just don't agree. Marriage does not need to be a religious issue for "gays can't get married" to be a religious statement - which in this context it is - and therefore unconstitutional. Circumcision is not a solely religious issue, but it would certainly violate the first amendment to require everyone to be circumcised because a certain religion says so.
