I can understand how automatic updates can help. What I was trying to say was that in the long run it may not be very effective since it just reinforces the idea of 'click yes to whatever box pops up on the screen'. Virus and worm writers have been very clever in exploiting behavior like this in the past, and they won't hesitate to continue to do so.
