the protest zone his people set up was four blocks away from where he was speaking. Since all the TV crews were at the speech, the protestors didn't get on TV. They only got some newspaper coverage.

How many other times are protestors shuffled away from an event? Police like to keep groups separated, but usually they are still within shouting distance.
