Handheld development Java vs. .NET by kambrose2004-07-14 05:44:24
  IIRC, VB.NET is a half-breed. by Khaar2004-07-14 05:57:54

I think that there was a quote frome MS that said that VB.Net is just for current VB users. Oh, and the .Net framework CE (compact edition) comes with newer Windows PDA's. SharpDevelop (and probably VS.Net, idk) automatically creates a .pdb for PDA use.

The only difference between C# and VB.Net is the syntax, for example { ... } in C# and Sub ... End Sub in VB.Net. Sharpdevelop even includes a tool to convert from VB.Net to C# and back!

Personally, I like C#. I'm using it and OpenGL to create a game that will run on both MS's .Net framework and Mono/DotGNU. It's no problem unless I use Windows.Forms or other Windows-only stuff.
