Help - Networking Ufies! by Syren 2004-07-14 03:59:17
I have a Laptop with an ethernet card. I have a PC with no network card of any sort (my fault - bought it on the assumption it would have one and I messed up big time!).

I just need to move small files between one and the other. What do I need? I don't need it to be fast or anything flash so I was thinking that I could just use the laptop as an external drive, (like an iPod) and connect it via the USB ports on both. Will this work? Can you even get a USB to USB cable and where would I get one from??

The other option would be to use a USB key wouldn't it? I have little cash spare right now so how much would one of these set me back?

I am normally more observant than this - I don't know where my head was when I ordered the new PC. It's a preasent for my grandad and I sort of sold the idea to him on the basis that he would be able to do this easily.

Help please!
