Fresh update from G-Mail... by mekkanik_mike 2004-07-12 22:49:06

CAN I GET A GMAIL ACCOUNT?
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept additional test participants at this time. We look forward to announcing a general release of this service. Because Gmail is in a limited test period, we cannot currently share more details about when Gmail will be made widely available. Please note that we are not able to reserve usernames for future use. For more information about Gmail, and to sign up for further updates, please visit: http://gmail.google.com/gmail/help/about.html.

DO YOU ALLOW PEOPLE TO SELL OR AUCTION GMAIL INVITATIONS?
Google does not condone the auction or sale of Gmail invitations, and we do not encourage those interested in Gmail to purchase them.
When we are notified of such transactions, we investigate and take appropriate action if there is a violation of the Gmail Terms of Use or Program Policies. Please note that it is a violation of Gmail's Program Policies to sell or auction established accounts. When we are notified of the sale or auction of established usernames, we disable those accounts.

While we understand that people are eager to obtain a Gmail account, we ask that all our users support Gmail's limited test by using invitations for their intended purpose -- to allow more trusted early testers to try out Gmail and help us improve the service before we make it more widely available.
