...it's for much the same reason that a certain retailer of specialty bath products (which shall remain nameless) puts their shower gel in larger bottles than the ones in which they sell the body lotion. They hope and anticipate that you'll run out of body lotion before you've used up all the shower gel, prompting you to go out and buy more. Then, when you run out of shower gel not long after, you'll have to go out and buy more of that as well so that you can use it with the body lotion. Grrrrrr -- @#$%^&* manipulative marketing tactics...!!!!
